Superb thread!

Have you thought about fitting a Megane turbo engine rather than another Clio one?

Hello Peter, it is a torsional differential of wavetrack from USA. 2 years ago there was a collect order in the german cliors.de forum. but I would like to exchange this this winter against a Drexler diff

yeah, i knew about the group buy on the german clio forum. i sometimes have a peek over there. i even bought some brake pads in the forum shop, a couple of years back.

you're not satisfied with the wavetrac?

WOW....absolutely gobsmacked that has been some labour of love and the video link.......well what can you say, great car, great work, great viewing. I wish you all the very best..keep it up.

No, I have no interest at all, as opposed to here in Germany is not so common.

Which KW coilovers are you running? That car was very composed on track. Good drive :thumb:
KW Clubsport

Awesome car! Can I gave a go?! How did the crash happen with the 200?
Sure, I do not know since I have no memories of the accident, the SD card was apparently stolen by someone from the camera. The accident happened after a long closing and I was one of the first on the track I think the tires were just too cold at the rear!

you can not say Dissatisfied ...but I think for the Nordschleife is a lamellar diff the better choice

So wavetrac has no pre load? I thougt that torsen diffs work fine. What's your experience from oem To waverrac? And where are you looking for?

hey! The Wavetrack is not bad. However, it should work much better on small curves tracks like Zandvoort than on the nordschleife. In order for the lock to work properly you have to give more or less always full throttle which is not so good on the nordschleife as the range is very narrow.
Im looking for a drexler dif

Hi Thommi, just found this video with your blackbird (@1:23).

I see the Cup spoiler is on again and there's a second seat fitted. Are you going to take me around next season?:tongueout:

fter the missing compression on the third cylinder but then no longer out of my head, I have two replacement engines attached and one of them built last week.
The engine is an 832. I have the toothed belt, WApu, spark plugs and the piston bearings and the thermostat exchanged. Otherwise, I have blasted all aluminum parts and now everything looks clean and new again.
In addition, I removed the old fiery heat protection on the front wall and built itself from 0.8er aluminum.

for the heat plate I first made a paper stencil

At the end, protect the whole fabric from heat with a fabric tape.

The connecting rod bearings were then replaced. as well as new rod bolts vw ARP. The Pleullager were by the way for about 90.000km not at all worn. one could save oneself.

This image shows the most worn-out bearing

After that I started from boredom the suction bridge, etc. to sandblasting.

A new radiator from Valeo as well as a new expansion tank for the cooling water were installed.
In addition, I had left something of the band which I still glued to the airbox, but is not yet finished

Brilliant effort!

Was the inlet manifold finish just purely from sandblast or did you paint it or anything?
