Expensive morning for the LY (and life in general!!!)

it does get droney...mine was doing my head in around 70mph..

Yeah, mine is loud enough resonated on the motorway tbf...

Yeah exactly the same. Stock mani

Can't beat it if you ask me!! Great tone to it, the noise it made at Engine Dynamics when the map went on was just unbelievable..got to find myself a test pilot at Grantham so I can actually listen to it from outside!

Slightly technical question:

If I was to go with a KTEC manifold (of which removes the pre-cat), and I also had a cat-back exhaust fitted. Would the car even have a cat fitted...? (might sound a stupid question!)

No judgement on my lack of engineering knowledge  just thinking out loud and making sure it'd get through an MOT...

Yes you'd still have the main cat in place.

Manifold of which contains a pre cat > Main cat > exhaust

Think of it like a sandwich, with your main cat being the filling. You're just changing the bread from granary to white lol, but its still a ham sandwich :tearsofjoy:

It’s late, I can’t sleep, and now I’m also hungry!

However clever use of food to describe a technical topic haha!

Appreciated though Chris! From the painting I had in my mind, it was a shiny new manifold, welded to shiny new exhaust! So I was thinking where is the cat!!

Thanks for clearing that up!

And there’s me thinking yours was loud enough James! Sounded beauts ragging it through the centre of Lincoln!
yeah that was good fun! its more of the power gains rather than noise. Im not really sure yet, few things ticking around my head at the moment :tongueout:
