I clayed and waxed my white clio last weekend and it looks great....but i'm no expert and didn't realise washing your car was now called detailing until recently...

Unlikely anything will need machining or adjusting....especially backlash.... You might need different shims in the casing, I don't know how the renault diff is shimmed in the box but it's usually a simple process if you know what you're doing.

You should be on commission, I just booked mine in for saturday and the guy I spoke to said someone else had been on before me asking about it too.

You need a heat gun to do the bends / corners :)

I'm tempted to put one in mine, had one in my mini and elise and they're great bits of kit.

I get a similar knocking from the front, I also get it at low speed if I just get on and off the throttle. It sounds like an engine mount to me.

Thanks guys, its a 7 month old car but I made sure I found one with Recaros (why would anyone buy one of these cars without them!?). It also has bluetooth so i'm enjoying hooking up my iphone for tunes, very neat after driving an elise without a radio! (it had straight cut gears).

Hello everyone, picked up my white 60 plate 200 on saturday after selling my 200hp K series elise as I needed a 4 seat car for work and the clio was the only car that appealed....so far so good. I live and work in the centre of birmingham, wave if you see me! :thumbup:
