CLIO 197 CUP - Project TF

I will add, trailering gives you the added confidence of "if I bin this I can trailer it home". I've been told at times I drove like there is a respawn point since getting one

R20 BTG - 200 Cup Track Car Blog

Thanks for all that! I used to hate that bloody wifi issue with the app and go pro, such a mess about to get it connected. Sounds like I'll be going DJI in the near future so!

R20 BTG - 200 Cup Track Car Blog

How are you finding the DJI compared to the GoPro? I've been tempted to switch myself as between battery life, losing footage and go pro software I'm getting fed up Also, Clio looks awesome and we'll sorted!

    The High Mileage Track car

A new set of r888r for the next day, clean oils and it was flying along! The ds3000 are leaving an awful lot of deposits on the discs so I'll be switching back to another set of PBS in the future and maybe trying out some RC6 to see what they are like. Managing to do 2.05/2.06 regularly now but...

    The High Mileage Track car

Been another while since a post here but I've had little to do on it honestly Back in late March I did another track day in mondello. Half way through I began to feel a reluctance to go into 3rd gear on up shifts but just drove through it and slowed down the gear changes a bit, it survived and...

    Irish 197

Welcome! I now know who owns that Clio and that I'm not the only Irish Clio on this forum

    The High Mileage Track car

Haven't updated this in a while as I haven't changed too much to the Clio in recent months. Did two more trackdays since the last update. Replaced the worn out PBS pads with a set of ferodo ds3000 I had laying around and my god they are much better. More expensive I know but they don't wear down...

    Oil Pump & Track Preparation

The only reason I did my oil pump is because it has 170k miles on it and it was purely going to be used on track. Was waiting for months for parts from Renault. Definitely an over cautious thing to do

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I'll take that I to consideration when doing my own, cheers for that!

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I'm planning on doing similar myself for a pressure and temp sensor, was the use of the braided line rather than adapter's just for space and cleanliness?

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The time I did it I welded two spreader plates along the raised cross member that the seat rails sit on and just threaded in the harness eye bolts. You could also drill into the floor and use spreader plates on the underside of the car too if you don't have access to a welder. I'd get you a...

    Fast Road/Track Ultra Red 197

I'm in Ireland so I'm no good to you as I got them local but I know Kam racing or ktec do them https://www.kamracing.co.uk/brembo-brake-discs-renault-clio-mk3-rs197-rs200.html https://k-tecracing.com/products/brembo-megane-2rs-clio-3rs-high-carbon-front-brake-discs

    Fast Road/Track Ultra Red 197

For the warping brake discs, I've been through that before with 2 sets of mtec and a set of godspeeds. They all warped on track after a good thrashing, switched to standard Brembo discs and I haven't had an issue since. I'm definitely going to stay away from any other brands in the future

    The High Mileage Track car

Yeah it's definitely the washers, I've put some soundproofing I had lying around covering them and the pipes up for the mean time and we'll see how it goes. If not I'll just silicon the living hell out of them Replacing the coil packs and plugs worked a treat, some of them looked tatty anyways...

Also took the opportunity to bleed the brakes and managed to notice something that wasn't supposed to be attached to the coilovers.... I'd left the bloody Bungy cord from hanging up the caliper while doing the discs. It survived the trackday without causing any issues thankfully
