Ok, I should have been clearer. Your picture shows two powerflex inserts. The lower of the two is the one that creates the vibration. That one absolutely can be removed and not replaced with anything - I know, I did it (well my mechanic did).

The very nice customer service department at Powerflex confirmed that all you have to do is remove the existing insert. So I got my mechanic to do so and indeed, the horrible vibration is gone. As an unexpected bonus I now have at least some bass in the cabin. I can only imagine that the poor...

The torque mount, lower mount and upper insert are all fitted. From what I've read here, it is the upper insert that causes the worst of the vibrations and so that's the one I'd like to remove.

I've recently purchased a Clio 200 with powerflex upper engine mount insert fitted. As others here have discussed, the vibrations from it are a bit uncivilised and I'd rather go back to stock. Obviously since I didn't fit it, I don't have fitting instructions and have spent a lot of time...
