I tried that Chris. Doesn't work. It just turns the electrics on but no steering still. Maybe just my car? Getting a garage to get me the part from Renault... Probs be about £65 for a bit of plastic pipe :-(

Thanks. I think you're right; the fine sure I'm expecting to pay and I understand they pursue these, but it looks like the points are invalid. Again, no mention of this happening to anyone if you pay the fine.
