    ktec pro performance killing me

Boominess and droning come from the absence (or small size) of the center silencer I think. Mine is a simillar system to k-tecs, with no 2nd cat and no center silencer, and I'm cursing everytime I have to drive on a highway at 130km/h. So I was thinking of adding the original center silencer to...

    197 lowered and spacers

Yep, it's perfectly fine. I was running it on 225/45-17 tires on a trackday this weekend, and even that wasn't rubbing at all ;)

How low can we go ;)

I was also a bit skeptical before I saw it in real life, where it's low enough for my taste and for practical reasons. There still is some rake, but it has to be because of the above mentioned turn in.

    20mm wheel spacers

http://www.clio197.net/forum/showpost.php?p=259331&postcount=8 Lowered 30/40mm + 20mm spacers, no rubbing with 4 people in car. And I think it looks quite good.

How low can we go ;)

This is how it sits on H&R 30/40 springs, +20mm spacers on each corner. I think it's just right height wise and the ride is very similar to original FF suspension (maybe a bit harsher, but also less bodyroll)...

    Shifting

It happens sometimes on mine when on the rev limiter and changing into 4th... I believe the synchro is a bit worn out. But it really isn't such a big issue...

    Steering issues

Arm or hub carrier balljoint? Number 3 or number 1 on the picture below? Because the simptoms you described are similar to mine, but I had the hub carrier lower balljoints done on both sides and nothing changed...

    wheels from tirerack.com

I think the Albi blue on the pics above is already lowered and it seems ok. Because you can also get the wheels with ET 45, rather than ET 40 (which is for Volvo C30)...

    wheels from tirerack.com

I've been looking at these for myself too... I think they look stunning on a 197/200. Below are a few pics from a German Clio 3 RS forum:

    Nokian question

I've just bought them (Nokian A3 215-45/17) for this winter, and so far am quite impressed with dry and wet handling in colder temperatures... As for handling in snow, some of it has to fall first :) I'm quite anxious to find out. Have heard from first hand and read in many articles Nokian are...

    Mysterious N/S knocking noise.

Started happening with mine too now that it gets below zero. The problem is with the upper engine stabilizer bar, aparently it has some play in the rubber bushing even on new cars. So it knocks when the engine is moving until the rubber heats up a bit - that can be quite a while if it's really...

Knocking from the steering column (+video)

The friend that works at Renault took a look at it and he's almost certain, the sound travels to the column from the rack. Because none of the u-joints on the intermediate shaft are loose and there isn't any play in the steering column itself. But there's quite a lot of play in the rack. So...

Knocking from the steering column (+video)

I also suspect the electrical servo... Any idea how much to replace it with a new one? Can't figure out if it's sold only as a complete column or you can buy individual parts - damn Dialogys is so messy. Well I'm gonna have to contact a friend of a friend who works at Renault anyway... Thanks...

Knocking from the steering column (+video)

Hi. I hope someone can help me with this cause it's really getting on my nerves. The knocking occurs either when the wehicle is stationary and the road surface is rough or when driving it a bit harder - so always when the steering is under load. There may be some play in the rack or the...

Poll how many had Steering wheel changed

It's pealing in 4 places, I'll probably get it reupholstered cause it's cheaper than a new one (plus the quality is better). The car's a 2006, so no warranty... I had a BMW E39 before, it had almost 300k on the clock at the end of my ownership, and the steering wheel was basically like new...
