hello everyone,my first post here,Im looking at getting new disc's and pads only going to be for the road use.seen k-tec are doing black edition, plus ferodo ds pads for £218 or brembo's HC £205
any info on these would be great or any other choices.Cheers

Mtec do brake discs and pads, I think they're rated quite well on here.

They currently have a 10% off offer on discs, think I'll be getting some dimpled+grooved ones myself fairly soon.

Forgot to say, welcome!

You'll have to post some pics so we can see your car and its progress if you do any mods

Yeah can't go wrong with the Mtec brake discs - a popular choice for members on here. They perform well on the road and are reasonably priced too.

For road use why not just use plain discs like pagid or Brembo high carbon. If it is just the fronts you are after they will be less than £90.

Just brought Brembo HC discs and mintex 1144 pads. What would be the best brake fluid to get for this set up?

people report a squeaky clutch after using ATE fluid...
i've used Motul 600/660 in the past i never had any issues...and the car is used on track too...

Got my new brembo's HC and mintex 1144 pads on today, look so much better.

You can say that again ^^^^. Just gotta bed them in now. Looking great though

***As an aside: Does anyone know if the Brembo High-Carbon (Or any high carbon) discs will rust more significantly than the 'normal' versions ?

And i'm referring to: Wash car, rinse and dry - go work next morning - orange dust all over black wheels from surface rust coming off.

Good point !

And deposit rusty brown specs over freshly cleaned wheels forever more............
Cheers guys, hopfully they wont rust to much.would it be better to take the disc off and paint it as they have only just been fitted? Iv got brembo stickers was'nt going to put them on as I'm not happy with the finish on my calipers need to do them again to many layers of paint on them, thinking of using spray paint or get them painted by a company.Of nopic but how do I make my pics smaller to upload it was saying file to big?
Cheers

They will rust. And it will be a big orange ball of rustiness believe me, despite the shiny appearance now......

Painting on the car is fine.......no need to remove. One side up at a time on axle stands etc - and coat the hub with black hammerite
