Throttle Body Bolt Torques

Hi all, does anyone know what the throttle body bolts should be torqued to? I've a feeling my farting noise may be a leaky seal due to me over tightening it or undertightening.

Tiny things aren't they - like M5 or M6 thread ?

I'd imagine they are going to be something like 10lbft. All they want is nipping....then an 1/8th of a turn more. Especially as these are cast (?) aluminium from memory.

Have you tried a new seal ?

I haven't yet. I was going to just check the actual torque to see if that solves it.

Forum is a little dead these days! Thanks for the advice dude :tongueout:

Its honestly so easy to worry about the faintest little noises these cars make, I'm sure its fine!

And the forums not dead, just not many people are going to know the torque setting for a tiny little bolt lol

Actually I agree with you. I'm new so can't comment on being quiet these days but I noticed hardly anyone posts!

why would you get a farting noise if the throttle body isnt tight enough it would draw air and cause some poor running...

as said only small bolts and the throttle seal is lipped so they only need a nip up

That's a valid point

I've reseated my KTR Intake but it's still the same. It just sounds like my old Turbo, tended to sound like it was faring at a certain RPM and that was also a Clio.

Maybe I'm just being picky
