RS Megane MK4

the rear ones are also wider, so glad RS have learned the lesson to take from the best they made in the last 10 years  dont think I would fall in the RS if it wasnt for the looks of the mk3 clio RS

If its production line time already, seems the late May reveal during the F1 Monaco GP is very much possible, guess if it gets revealed then, the September official premiere will mean the start of sales for the continent at least.

Now lets get some specs leaked, heard a 1.8T is on the cards, Jeremy RUK did not deny, might be true then.

If the Cup chassis available from launch will be as good as it was on the mk3 meg then its going to be an incredible machine, guess the Trophy trim wont be available till say 18 months of production so the Cup better be good from the start

Cup, manual, LSD, nothing else needed... oh wait, the audio, is bose setup in the meg any good ?

Had Bose at home very over rated

had a chance to take a long trip in a harman equipped mini.... that does make my standard clio setup sound like a pc speaker... wonder if the bose in the megane is a bit like it... charge for the bose is pretty much the same mini charges for the harman kardon... cant find any comparisons as its not a thing worth comparing for the automotive press...

Oh man, love what they did with the bodywork  I'm glad that it doesn't look like some bolted on wide body kit like what is on the current RS Megane but is integrated into the flow of the bodywork, like on the mk 3 Clio RS. Can't wait for the full reveal.
Lol, that's true! Wheel arch liners block them don't they.
They are there to vent the engine bay guys, not the wheel arches.

According to the marketing yes, but as said before they are blocked off from the inside by insulating foam aswell as there being no passage way from the engine bay to that area. Maybe different on the meg but on the Clio they do nothing from factory

Ah, ok then. I thought that there are small holes behind the vents that lead to the engine bay.

you think they woud go through all that bs with fake graphics of how it works and then just have it closed ?

I know its a rendition / artists impression. But that hasn't done 'it' any favours imo. Judging from the factory pics and other shots we've seen so far: and what i'm sure it will look like in reality. (Is the pic above an official Renault release ?)

From this low 3/4 angle - It looks 2 foot of the ground with 22 inch wheels. Almost dare-i-say: like a tractor.

Just reading through this thread, I owned a Megane F1 R26 - even when I owned it the body shape wasnt my favourite part of the car, looking back it was very individual - nothing else looked like it - then the previous shape RS Megane came out and again to me it just didnt do much for me, my wife had a 1.5 GT Megane good spec, but not a pretty car by any stretch of the imagination.

The new megane RS artist impressions always look nice and some of the photos earlier in the thread look really good, even the estate version looks good, but we know its going to look quite tame on release.

The auto thing for me is all about choice as someone else said above, and by making the Clio auto only must have lost Renault some of its fan boys, on the flip i'm sure its won some new customers over to.

Same things been happening over in the VW/Seat/Skoda world when I was after my Octavia I looked at a scout you could only have the 180 bhp version in dsg, otherwise it was 150bhp in manual what BS is that?! also they released a 4x4 octavia vrs...awesome, until you look and its dsg only....balls to that, I want the option of manual or dsg, leon cupra 300 estate 4x4 dsg only...errrghhhhhhh.

Again for vw/skoda/seat im sure they lost some customers, but imagine they won over many new customers so to them why should they care?.

Its a liquid yellow underneath the wrap, at least looks like it through the front parking sensors and a small gap on the bumper, but where are the turn indicators I dont honestly know

Maybe the headlight will get a little upgrade to sport the turn indicator inside, or they just forgot about it

Also the previously caught testmules had the black inside A pillars trim, mirror, sunvisors and rooflining, this one doesnt...
