LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Yeah using the Rentune cup racer style mounts. using the top slot in front and second hole from top at the back (to get more tilt / better leg support in front). Mounted that way they are in around 2 inches lower maybe more, took me a moment to get used to it (visibility out of car) but love it...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

I actually tested the Apex for size before I ordered the SPG (didn't know anyone with SPG). I think it would look well with the removable cushions re-trimmed in the 'dot fabric'. Interested to see what you'll do regarding seatbelt, my solution is not ideal (mounted to the side mount) but it's...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Depending on which size of the SPG seat you're thinking off and how are you going to mount them you could save more than 30kg. I've only replaced the drivers seat but the sportster seat felt surprisingly heavy in comparison. The standard size SPG is 7.5kg plus whatever mounts you decide to...

    Trackspec Clio 197

Just went through the thread again. :) I believe they are 17x17.5 ET50 but there are also 10mm axle spacers at the back.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback and good luck at the races this weekend! (what car, team are you in so that I could keep an eye out while watching the live stream?)

Aliengreen 200 and Cup-Racer from Germany

Ahh you're mates with Janis Waldow - I follow him on IG so caught a glimpse of the clio in some of his posts. Did a similar trip myself in July. (some pics on IG - user temeeo) How do you rate the Madeno BMR kit? I presume it's the fast road version not the clubsport stuff? Does it use stock...

The '80/20 Toolkit' (for trackdays and road trips)

Yeah, not many uses for the 1/4 either. Got a Sparco mechanic tool bag and intend for all of the tools to fit inside (except for the large stuff like breaker bar)

The '80/20 Toolkit' (for trackdays and road trips)

I've in past used adaptors out of laziness and managed to cross thread and snap some bolts so now I'm all about picking the right tool for the job but I guess this is sort of an emergency toolkit so 3/8" with adaptors could do. Would also have 1/2" breaker bar so possibly 3/8" might be...

The '80/20 Toolkit' (for trackdays and road trips)

I wonder would this make more sense in Clio General Chat than here? If so could an admin move the post pretty please?

The '80/20 Toolkit' (for trackdays and road trips)

Here are some jobs that I have vaguely in my memory or done recently that made me to choose the above: Battery & Airbox 10mm spanner 10mm socket 13mm socket battery tray Oil and filter 10mm socket + ratchet 8mm square drain plug key Spark plugs 8mm socket + extension + ratchet 16mm spark plug...

The '80/20 Toolkit' (for trackdays and road trips)

Planning on doing a month long road trip next month that includes 7-10 days in Nürburgring, 10-14 days in around Alps plus some bits here and there. I don't feel like leaving for the trip without any tools but also don't want to bring with me 'all' my tools so I come up with the idea of having...

    r26r Rear Discs

I recently started using Bilt Hamber Atom-Mac on brake disc etc. it really helps keeping the discs somewhat rust free when car is not use. Previously the braking surface would turn all rusty in a day or two if it was wet/raining outside but this keeps them rust free in between me driving the...

RS200 Cambelt change, dephaser replacement yes or no?

I was told once that the dephaser was revised later in it's life hence the longer intervals on 200 not sure if that's true or not.

    Road tyre recommendations

That's still a good price in my opinion. Have done 10k miles in mine and three track days (typically doing 1 warm up lap, 2-3 hot and one cool down in each session).

Looking great, how does the device for the wheel alignment work? Is it any good?

    Road tyre recommendations

Standard tyre size is 215/45 R17, you could probably go as wide as 225 but it may negatively affect the handling - I guess it would depend on the tyre design. MPS4 are great and can be picked for decent money online, friend of mine bought recently set from Black Circles with some discount code...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Unreal car! Hopefully the recent progress/updates lifted your spirits and you've abandoned the idea of breaking it!
