Alien green Clio RS200 #under8 BTG project

So Iv just got back from the Nordschleife in my standard gw megane r26, my best time was this

While I was out there this caught my eye





This got me inspired to build up my rs200 to get sub 8 laptimes at ring, and also look as hard as this one does.

Incidentally I crashed my rs200 a few weeks ago at ring so this is how it sits now



Looking to get some 2 way coilovers, gut the inside and fit recaros, aero catches front and rear, plastic windows, speedlines 2118s and a steering wheel at the moment.

Debating a cage.

Don't really want to put a megane engine in it as it's only got 9k miles and I like the na character the cars got.

Anyway, I'm nattering on.

Got my race pack and test booked next week for my race licence, going to be racing at Silverstone on the 14 June in the trackday trophy

What subframes are you going to use in the Clio? I've got the same seats (well Recaro Apex's) and have been struggling - tried Recaro, OMP and Oreca/Sparco ones - none I would say are perfect.

Gonna try and modify an omp one but not sure yet mate, I'll let you know when I find a soulution

Alien grew Clio RS200 #under8 BTG project

Bought safety devices cage today, mintex 21155 brake pads front and rear, gaz gold coilovers being made with top mounts

Got a bit further with stripping out

And put more of the front end back on





Booked my medical for race licence, booked car power testing.

Can't wait to be building the car, rather than what I'm doing at the moment which feels like destroying it.
