Another Air intake question

OK so I was just wondering.. the standard air intake is pretty awesome lets be honest, however on my 1.2 TCE I remember there being reports of the rubber hose after the airbox attaching to the engine being compressed under full load so I was wondering if it was the same.. would it be wise or possible to replace the rubber hose with stainless ? It would stop any compression taking place and if wrapped with heat shield would keep the air cool? whats everyones thought? I cant see it being hard to implement and will attempt it once I get home to measure the size of the rubber piping!

Couple of points, firstly forced induction engines suck very hard, probably harder than a naturally aspirated engine of larger capacity.

Secondly if you were going to replace it just get a silicone hose.
