Buying team dynamics 1.2

im planning on ordering team dynamics 1.2s this week.

I know I need 17" and 5x108. I have a couple of questions.

Can I run these in 8" wide?

If so

What ET would I need?

Otherwise it's 7.5" and ET 45

@Sean197 Thanks for the info mate. I'm thinking of going for the 17x8 so I can run wider tyres and by changing the offset I can scrap the need for spacers.

I don't want them sitting too far out. Do you think ET50 would be sufficient for the 8" wide?

ET45 looks perfect with the 7.5"

Sorry I meant ET60. I don't suppose anyone has a photo of an ET55 8"
Do they?

Does anyone know what offset the Clio racer 8" speedlines are?

I have the cup racer speedlines, they're the same offset as the standard wheels, et68.

Here are the Ultras, 17x8, et55:

i always found ET55 marginal. a friend of mine runs those ultra's on cup suspension and iirc he told me he had them touching the wings going full tilt through the karussell at the nürburgring (exceptional corner, i admit). looks brilliant though!

I have the ultras 17x8 on et 55, no wing rubbing, but certainly rubs the bumper..... I wouldn't go 50 with 8" wide, especially if your fitting wider tyres

i'm hovering over the trigger on ordering a set of the pro race 1.2's in 17x7.5 et 53.

Currently have speelines with 20mm spacers ( at least I think they are, have been on the car since i got it) should this be ok?

anyone know best place to get them for price wise? wont need tyres as i'll change mine over from the speedlines.

Yes they'll fit fine.

just realised i'm being a bit thick about this, what offset could i run on 7.5 wide rims, standard tyre size, do away with the spacers and keep things looking flush? 45, 48 and 50 are also options. 48 will keep things where they are?

use the following link. type in original wheel spec & type in new, including wheel widths, diameter and off set and it will show you how the original sit on the car and the proposed wheels will sit. if you have spacers remember and reduce the offset accordingly:

I ran et 45 on an 8j with 10mm rear spacers, trimmed the inner bumper section so it was flat. No rubbing what so ever. 215/40 tyre mind!
