Diffuser issues

guys.had the 197 a few weeks, new it had a blow in the exhaust somewhere, took it to ATS this morning up on ramp the two basic clamps around centre ish exhaust are on pissed and rusted up good with small blow coming from the worst one easy fix,the guys there wanted to check around the back box itself but couldn’t undo the two 13mm nuts at back of diffuser rusted on properly.
He didn’t want to go to mad trying coz he thinks the two bolts nuts screw on to are captive I.e. welded or something to body of car and if he snapped them them I’d have more problems, sprayed up good with penetrating stuff but still couldn’t undo.
Does anyone have any knowledge on how those nuts are set up and any words of wisdom on solutions for this anything would be much appreciated

That's what your dealing with just take it slow and easy tighten then loosen and keep doing that give the threads a good wire brush to clean them out it's repairable weld another stud on and cable tie it with heavy ties if the worst happens until it's fixed. Not hard to try the nuts if you drive the rear wheels up on something and slide under it's the clips around the bumper that need care and attention even refitting so you don't bend one because it use not in it's slot.

It's pointing away from you the only pick I could find check the threads someone may have used the wrong type of threaded nut and just wound it on.

I took mine to my renault specialist and they said its a very common issue.

What they do is they snap the nut off the bolt and then re-wild a new bolt onto the bracket and then apply a new nylon nut.
Mine are take off every few months and then there is a blob of grease put on the bolt and pop a new nylon nut back on.
