Diy wheel refurb

Exciting - good price too !

Same colour ?
No going for gloss black
i did the wheel in anthracite wheel paint from halfords the pic makes it look alot lighter
it was the worst wheel in terms of curbing / corrosion out of the 4 i got but got another 2 which are far better

I was going to paint my spare set of silverstones & had a go on one wheel but it came out shocking
took me hours with sandpaper, primer etc just not worth the time & effort for a crap job
called a place local to me quoted £130 for all 4 fully repaired & power coated
so dropping them off at the weekend pic's to follow
130? I'm jealous

First thing first, remove the old primer / powder coat. Wheels are chemically stripped.

Meanwhile I set to work on the centre caps

The caps will be satin black to match the wheels with the badges gloss black.

You got the same wheels as mine?

Could do them for £85 per wheel,

if you can get them off the car we'd collect, de tyre, strip, powder, lacquer, re tyre, balance and deliver them back to you.

Yeah speedlines, same as yours.

Don't have the money right now, but if you could PM me over some details then I've got them readily available (rather than have to search through hundreds of posts to find this thread) :thumb:

Thanks. They'll be back on the car tomorrow and it'll be off the ramp.

I'm into Engineering - and alot of our stuff gets p/coated. So im at our local place multiple times a week.

Given - most of our stuff is fairly industrial - and not done with the same level of skill and care and attention you provide !

Just saying - i see quite alot of this stuff. Others here possibly not. So your pics are appreciated by many im sure
