GAZ Gold Coilovers

Missing In Action
Obviously B14 Bilsteins are a very popular choice in coilovers for the Clio and I also had a set on the Megane which I was impressed with. I have been offered a set of GAZ Gold coilovers for similar money to the Bilsteins and they appeal to me as you can custom spec them as I've heard a few stories about the Bilsteins being soft on track.

Anyone any experience with the GAZ Golds?

Very good track set up for the price. I've im running 600/350 front/rear springs.
Perfect balance for road use and track.
Set the damping in the middle or just less and it's the same type of ride as standard but with less body roll and pitch.
Then run them nearly full soft on the track. Eventually I will be moving to 650 fronts and less damping but that's because it's not used on the road much.
I've also got a friend running the same set up, he was impressed too.
I would say that when and if you do order ensure you spec a helper spring set up for the fronts as the standard spring set up they suggest isn't correct and that car rides really really really high. Anymore questions let me know and I'll answer them more specifically.

Tom.
