keycard batterys

I have this same issue, I am changing batteries it seems every month and its totally annoying! 2025's are meant to last years not weeks. Has anyone else recently had this issue? I am using Energizer 2025's this issue has only started happening this year! Surely it cannot be the batteries? Does anyone know if not driving the car depreciates the key fob batteries in some weird way? I know the answer is a no but what else could it be other than a crap batch of 2025 batteries? I do not drive my 197 that much these days, but key fob batteries are meant to last years not weeks.
 
My key was acting up the other day. Started with the odd time when it wouldn’t open or lock the car and finally wouldn’t lock or open either door or the boot.
Just brought a normal CR2025 watch battery and swapped them over and had been working fine since
