My '07 clio 197

Jordanfaf

Winner - POTM November 2017, January 2018
I bought the car in May 2016, car had 121,000 kilometers and a Full main dealer stamped history, Full fat spec with cup spoiler. Lowered on springs by the previous owner, not sure what spring they were but they needed changing soon!

Here it is after its first wash and wax with me

Started doing a few small mods, 5mm spacers I had already, Rs steering wheel insert and an AUX install.

Next up was thee exhaust, got a cheap and cheerful resonator delete as well as some big tips fitted as I wasn't a fan of the hidden cut ones

Wheels were in desperate need of a refurb, decided to get something other than standard silver. Considered doing a diamond cut with black details like on the gordini models but it was mad money. So decided on Gold!

Most recent additions are the streamline carbon grilles and black Diamond badges front and rear.

Here is how the car sits today at 130kms

Just ordered H&R springs and 19mm ktr spacers to finish the look off, eventually will get around to a proper exhaust system!

Gold alloys suit the car so well, looks amazing!

Though about spraying the spoiler end plates the same colour? Maybe the rear diffuser too? I reckon that would make it even better

cant go wrong with gold wheels..love the look of them..was deciding whether to spray mine the same colour not long ago..
well done

Gold wheels are ace! Reminds me of a certain Clio Williams

Where'd you get the grilles from if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks all I'm for the kind words!

Wanted to get the diffuser dipped or wrapped in carbon, can't afford the real deal [emoji22]

As for the spoiler ends I might get them done in gold now that you mention it!

Stunning looking 197 that...really nice

Silver to Gold alone on the wheels makes about a 200% improvement. Incredible......

Springs and spacers finally installed, alignment done and a rally up the mountains to test it all out.

Fantastic change from the rusty old springs that were in it when i bought it, also stance is a lot more aggressive with the 19mm spacers.

Next up is gearbox oil change and new discs in the new year!

Looks fantastic but are you sure it's full fat spec? Only because the brakes aren't red!
Yes that was my bad, I always thought the Full Fat was the non cup, full fat meaning no weight saving?

It's the standard chassis and interior with a cup spoiler

Yes, Full Fat is non cup! To add to the confusion though, you can get full fat cars with the cup chassis, as I have. Red calipers = cup chassis, though many full fat cars have had calipers painted red now. Confused? If my experience of Irish roads is anything to go by though the cup chassis would be a bit too firm over there.
