Project Silverstone GP (No.13)

POTM Winner - July 2017
So, I've had the 200 for about a month now and thought it was about time I got a project thread up.

I previously had a Titanium Silver 182 which I absolutely loved. I really didn't want to sell it but was too much of a nice example to use daily anymore and I don't have the room to keep it as a weekend toy.

I started the hunt for its replacement, after telling myself I didn't want another silver car I ending up finding this Silverstone Edition which ticked most of the boxes for me.

The car was located at a dealer over 160miles away so wasn't exactly local. I contacted them and was happy with all the enquiries I had made so I took the risk and went to view it. Ending up leaving with it the very same day.

Despite being happy with the car on the initial test drive, I didn't really gel with the car for the first couple of weeks. I don't know if it was just me missing the 182 lol or just because they're very different in a number of ways. Now though, I'm much happier with it. The 200 is 100% a nicer car to drive on a daily commute and it's still fun to drive now I'm used to it.

In terms of plans, its needs a bit of tidying up. Most of these things probably won't happen for a while but here's a bit of a list:
  • Sprint Spoiler
  • Refurbished Alloys: Gloss Black
  • Facelift rear lights
  • Lowering springs
  • Seat covers for the Recaro's
  • Steering Wheel ReTrim
  • Re-spray the Wing Mirrors,
  • Re-spray the door handles
  • RS Tuning Remap
  • New interior floor mats
  • Remove a few car park dents
I'm sure there's more to add but that will do for now lol.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling on now, here's some photos from when I got it...

I've managed to do a couple of little things already.

Got my private plate on:

I fitted some satin black wheel nut covers to make the bolts look a bit nicer. I will eventually take the locking wheel nut out and do that too. Also need to change the centre caps!

Also got some clear indicator bulbs, it had some in the front originally but not the rear so I swapped them around and fitted the Osram's to the front.

And finally for now, I managed to pick up some facelift non-sport rear lights up on e-Bay. Always preferred these lights as I feel they bring the rear end a little more up to date.

No fancy pictures for the last few things unfortunately. Hoping the weather might pick up at the weekend so I can give it a good clean and maybe get some better photo's then.

Looks great mate. I have a totally standard 182 Cup with 40k miles on it. Did you get decent money for your 182? I can't part with mine at the moment, I would agree they are 2 totally different cars to drive.
