Removal of Interior

Question regarding the removal of a 197 interior.

Need to be able to remove front seats completely and subframes. (recaro) airbag connectors etc.

Also the rear seats completely, hoping someone has done this themselves or can advise on how many fixings/bolts there are and tools I will need.

Thanks in advance
JAM.

Fronts are just held in by 4 torx bolts per seat. If you have Cabasse you will need to disconnect and remove this first. Also there is the airbag connector, though I don't know where this is on a Recaro, typically in the middle on the outer side.

Rears bases pull forward and then just detach the wiring from the car.

Rear backrests are held in by the bolts on the seatbelt mounting where they split, and on a catch at eaither side that needs to be slid back to release.

What are you upto?

Might be an idea to leave the battery disconnected for a couple of hours before disconnecting the airbags, don't want to risk them going off in your face

2 screws behind speaker, 2 more behind door pull, 1 behind door release handle, then work around the edges (not top) tugging sharply.

What are you upto?

most of the screws and bolts are torx fittings - so make sure you have a qualtiy set of those and make sure the heads are cleaned out because if theres any muck in there the fittings will strip.

seats are dead easy to remove and the other trim is either torx screws or just clip in and need a "gentle" tug to get them to unclip
