Mine was repaired about 3 1/2 years ago but has come back, car is just over 7 years old now and I thought it was a 7 year warranty on bodywork.

How are people getting on with this?

Mine is bubbling on the underside, only seen when you lift the tailgate.

Just collected my car from Renault - Orpington where they repair the tailgate rust under warranty. It took ages to sort it out but Renault UK was very helpful. I would suggest for people having the same issue to chase them up.

Very happy with the Orpington bodyshop as well. They did a great job.

I have this same issue and only brought the car a year ago. What's the chance of having this work done under warranty if I'm not the original owner? Cheers

You don't have to be the original owner. The anti corrosion warranty is 12 years or 100k miles I think. Give RUK a call and let them know, they will probably ask for service history of the car and some photos of the rust.

ive only just bought my car its a 56 plate with 60k full Renault service hist would i be covered? how would i go about getting this fixed if possible through Renault uk? any help would be appreciated

It should mate yes, and the fact that it's got full Renault service history is a mega bonus as well.

Anti-corrosion is 12 years, hope that helps.

How long did this process take for you guys from the first call to getting confirmation that the work will be done?
I've been dealing with this for 3 days so far and i haven't even got as close as to confirming my VIN with them as my reg doesn't show on their system.
I've been told ill get a call back then it never happens, when i call the person dealing with it is not free, then again never calls back.
Then he sent be "his" contact details and theses are actually just Renault UK's number and email.

cheers

In my experience you have to chase Renault remorselessly. Totally useless and can only imagine they pay peanuts. I've not had many different brands of car but of the ones I have, Renault customer service is by far the worst.

Hello.. what i found yesterday. Luckily my car has still anticorrosion warranty until 2019 and full renault service book from beginning (corrosion checks done). It is 2007 model 197.

I will go for my local dealer in the monday morning. Lets see how it goes. Lucky or not. Those bubbles are quite small in this phase and not so critical but if renault pays fix of course they can fix it.

This thread is quite confusing, it would be great if members who have this problem, tell was it fixed by anti-corrosion warranty and how old car was?

Does this fix involve removing of rear glass?

I've had this for a few years. I didn't think much of it because I was certain nothing would be done about it.

Renault Finland refuses to pay repair. They said that damage is from outside, not inside.
My car still has body warranty until 2019, i will try to get different result.
In my opinion if they would not pay manufacturing defects from warranty, there is absolut no any need to service my car in Renault. Only reason was that body check to keep bodywarranty valid.
