Had such a good day here courtesy of Opie Oils & David Sleigh Racing. An eclectic mix of cars, from Minis, Fiestas, Legends & Formula Ford to Cossies, both Escort & Sapphire, Mustangs, Cobra, MGs, you name it! What great hosts the David Sleigh team made. We were welcomed with bacon & sausage butties, & told to come back anytime for food, tea, coffee & soft drinks. Lunch was cheeseburgers, stovies (look it up English folk!), mac 'n' cheese, chicken skewers, fruit & cakes. The team were very friendly & chatty, & we were able to watch the guys working on the cars close up. Here's some phone pics I grabbed. The 1st few are Minis from the Sleigh team, plus a wee shot of the barbeque/buffet.

Yeah, weather was perfect Jimmy. Only thing was I didn't take a hat & I now have a head like the one on a Swan Vesta!

Really sorry I don't remember. I wasn't familiar with the championship and the drivers so the results didn't really stick.

Did your wife enjoy it ?

Glenda enjoyed most of it, but she got bored mid way through the afternoon when we had 2 safety car periods that dragged on a bit, and then in the following race there was an incident in the 1st bend in lap 1 that resulted in another. However things improved for her after that. I asked if she'd go again & got a "maybe", so I'm trying to get her to focus on the majority of the day which she did enjoy. Fingers crossed!
