Steering creeking

Hi all,

My 200 just started making a horrendous noise when straightening from full lock. I noticed it as I reverse out of my parking space every morning and straightening up to start going forwards.

Sounds like a really loud creaking noise. Anyone had this issue before?

Sounds like a lower ball joint needs replacing. Get the car jacked up and check for play on the front wheels.

Agreed, very much the likely culprit and a common failure on these cars. Not an overly expensive fix, however taking it to a specialist is recommended - Renault dealers change the full hub, rather than the specific part, which makes it a lot more costly...
