Steering Wheel - replace or retrim?

My steering wheel has seen better days so I want to do something about it.

I have seen that you can get a new wheel from Renault for around £150 and a retrim is also a similar price, so would a be better off replacing or retrimming. How long does a standard wheel stay looking good for?

If you got a re-trim then at least you can be creative with what you get it trimmed in - eg alcantara. Get something a little bit different to the norm.

With regards to how long they last. The previous owner of my car had the wheel replaced while she had it. I've owned it since May and there's no sign of wear, and I use it as a daily. I suppose it varies from one person to the next.

I've been thinking the exact same thing, I'm bothered incase the replacement material doesn't match and looks silly, I might just go purchase a genuine wheel

I went for a retrim because as Jimmy said you can be creative.....
