The story so far Clio cup 2007

Hi all joined the site last week. And have learned a lot already from of the site Bought the car last year. And it was in a poor way with a few poor mods that needed further work to put them right. The mods which was on the car are toyo manifold which was straight through noisy or what. Some sort of cone air filter so set about putting things right on a big tick list I have lol. Paid mark A visit at Midlands renault specialists. New break disc and pads rear front pivot hub oil filter. And a full set of power flex engine mounts as the toyo manifold was rubbing on the subframe. Fitting the engine mounts lifting the engine slightly to clear the subframe. Mark also sorted a few other bits while I was there also like battery stop light and tracking. The exhaust was so loud so fitted a high flow sports cat. Which made it a little less noisy lol. Also needed a new front bumper and some other body work doing and the wheels refurbished. So set about the body work and powder coating the wheels got them done for £180. Purchased a second hand front bumper and grills. While at the body shop hand a few items painted gloss black front grills top and bottom one. Door handles wing grills front and back diamonds and wing tips and the whole mirrors and surrounding plastic and windscreen side plastics. I still have a few items on the list as like a meg engine and I've got a very good friend who can sort my Recaro seats at the right price Here are a few pics below of the body work bits I've had done

You've had your Clio trials and tribulations (Like many of us here) by the sound of it Gregor.

But its looking mighty fine now i assure you ! Very nice

You having the Recaro's repaired, rec-covered or.......?

And another going the Meg route. Still at least us n/a boys wont be short of choice if we ever suffer an engine failure and need a second-hand lump

Enjoy buddy.

Thanks guys The rear diffuser is doing my head in at the min It's missing some lugs it's the 200 diffuser as well. It's dropping from the bumper leaving a small gap at one end. Wonder if it can have some new plastic lugs plastic welding in place. Will try get some pics up later

Yes about 10 to 15 mins it be there battery stop. Don't know what mark did under the bonnet but he sorted it. Do know it wasn't the alternator as that was swopped out for another

Hi mate can you ask what it was please? There's a few people have had this issue! Mine is doing this and it's annoying lol! I've been on track and think the alternator belt has fallen off when it comes on [emoji23]

Honestly think it was some wiring on top of the engine that had come lose or poor connections. But what ever he did to it. It's sorted now sorry can't be of any more help on the matter pal

The recaro will be unstitched and recovered on the bolsters only as the rest of the seat are mint. Mind they have seen 90 thousand miles of backsides The guy is well good I've been told he's Been at it years might ask him if he can do the door card bits as well. And the steering wheel if it can be done

Happy with this tho last week. Full mot with no advisorys. Tho she's french IMG_1199.JPG IMG_1254.JPG This is doing my head in lol. What do you think guys can this be repaired ??

Could you not take it off and get a new lug plastic welded on, looks a little warped too maybe a bit of heat to mould back into place might stop it drooping, if its painted carbon fibre i have no idea @Gregor

Thanks guys just had a idea. I race model cars and we use this foam double sided stick tape. It sticks very well in the model cars. Will build a few lays up and try it. And it can be removed easily as well

IMG_1380.JPG IMG_1383.JPG IMG_1382.JPG View attachment 19869 Bought this the other day to replace the one which is a 200 diffuser on mine. The one above in the pics will be for sale when I get it of the car. As you can see has a few lugs broken of but can be repaired I think. But would like to sell it with the black rear bumper it came with. My old 200 diffuser and black bumper will be for sale after wed next week when I get it fitted along with oil and filter change and gear box oil and also original air box with a panel filter . So will put it up in the for sale section on here.
