Trackspec Clio 197

Left first thing this morning to try and get the clutch issue resolved.

Thank fully it's been a lucky day. It seems the clutch hose clip has failed causing the hose to move from the locked position to the bleed position. Then on pressing the clutch the bleed nipple opened and resulted in the fluid loss. The hose has now been sorted. What a strike of luck!

Thanks mate. Yes me too! I would have been in quite a tough position with it if it had as I supplied the parts (I get them very cheap) and the Renault specialist installed it. I've been thinking all weekend "where do I stand with this!" Thankfully its an easy fix.

Snetterton is on the 13th of May and cant wait to get the car back on track with the new LSD. Should absolutely transform it.

It needs too go through some weight loss now so I am thinking fibreglass bonnet and bootlid plus lighter wheels to start. I can't remove the interior for regulations.

This Summer will see a set of Catcams go in and another map. I've also had some "expensive thoughts" in terms of building a full on forged N/A motor for it with uprated valve train, rods, pistons some more aggressive cams and ITBs.

sounds very interesting..hope you like your new LSD as much as I do..loving it on mine..transformed the whole car and its handling...

I would love ITB's on mine, please do it! ITB's sound immense and are the definition of "race car" to me, not to mention that you should see some great power gains. Look forward to hearing what you think of the LSD on track, does strike me as one of the things the car could really benefit from.

I miss the ITB noise mate. Had a conversation earlier about the cams and potential engine build.

The car is back to normal now. I'm lucky it was an easy fix and didn't cost anything to resolve. I need some seat time again now and see what it's capable of.

Too far for me. Looks like i will be doing Brands on the 23rd May next.
ITB's is anyone making them for the 197? Last time i was in KTech they were still not available...

I'll post up details of Blyton Park later. The combination of the diff and slicks were amazing all day. The levels of grip were unreal. Loads of footage to come too.
