Would you have one?

Whilst having a wee peruse on Bookface, this popped up on my feed http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272841540575?clk_rvr_id=1311156865717&rmvSB=true
I absolutely love them especially in this colour. Always remember many moons ago getting my first clio 1.2 from Ness motors in Inverness and there was a couple on there way into pick up one exactly like this. As a young boy then these looked outstanding and i don't think they have lost that edge, Probably not very fast by todays standards but who cares when they look like this.

Got to be the ultimate Clio despite all its flaws. Would I have one - yes. I've seen much better examples than this one though.

I would love one of these! Best colour too! Used to see a silver one around Dingwall & going up & down the A9 between Tore roundabout & Inverness. It was good to see it being driven.

Definitely one of Renaults finest

Meant to not be that quick or handle outrageously good. And be mega expensive to maintain and run.

So i presume from that - it's about the sound, the feeling and the looks. And i imagine on those fronts it would stir great emotions. I can't deny they look fabulous.

I see it as one of those cars you'd just have to include in a sort of 'dream garage' and have just-because. Especially if you're any sort of Renault fan.......

Didn't they sort out the handling on the phase 2? Nevertheless I just love the whole concept of taking a car that started out as a shopping car for the likes of Nicole, ripping out the back seats & shoving a nice rorty V6 in it's place along with styling that looks as though the car has been on steroids & some proper sports suspension. The kind of slightly barking mad idea that only the likes of Renaultsport could get away with. Definitely on my fleet if the lotto comes good!

Only car I would give both my nuts for.

N/A 3.0l 24v in a 3 door shit box Clio - Not many car manufacturers have done this and the fact it will never be done again due to laws and emissions on all new cars.

I would only ever take a ph2 V6 in acid yellow

Colour would be down to the individual but other than that you would be off your head to say no to a car that is rare in the fact that Renault had a crazy idea, put pen to paper and then followed through and sold it to the Uk public.

As said above just the fact that there will never be another car like it (talking about engine / size & model) tells people they should have one even if its a scrapper.

Nope. Cba with cars that are bought 'just because', if I buy a car I buy it to drive and enjoy it and I couldn't do either with a car whose value I was continuously worrying about. Same reason I've given up on ever owning an Escort Cosworth.

They haven't aged well, I think I was more 'sucked in' when I had my 172 cup as I was part of the cliosport lot and it's basically the be all/end all there. After time away from there, I've realised it's not that special, yes it's one of a kind, but it's still pretty much 30k on a clio. You're not that far off r34 GTR money there! Know what I'd rather have*
