Which Dodo Wax For RB?

Lol ill show when i get chance to wax my next car ill show you bos is better than that. Looks like you didnt let the wax dry properly before removing residue. Or the left side wasnt worked in aswell.

I could bias any photo by adding more coats of either, you clearly only like zymol and feel it is the best. The thread asks for dodo wax ive tried rainforest rub, blue velvet and super and rate it as one of the easiest to apply and results are reasonable. I bought swiss bos and rate it very highly but if you have 300+ to spend on wax you obviously expect better.

If i went out and spent 30,000 on wax i wouldnt be using it on my car, every use i would expect to be making my money back ...... Business

The left side was applied at Swisswax head quarters by a pro. I drove home and put 1 layer of concours on the right so as to do a test and this shot was 2 weeks later when the BOS gave up.

You probs think that because there are more Swisswax detailers that means it must be better. Well in reality the franchise fee for Swisswax is about £1500 and zymols is summat stupid like £10000-15000.

I have nothing against Swisswax, I use their cleaner fluid pro and it bloody fantastic but just don't say silly stuff like Zymol is mid range.

As above really. Completely baffled by the Dodo Juice range.

Just want a good wax for RB and I've heard good things about the Dodo range.

Any other suggestions appreciated.

I made the point in another thread not too long ago (not sure which one ;/) aboth preparation being more important than the wax that you put on the top. If you want a deep look to the car you need to spend a decent amount of time giving the car a thorough clean, clay, polish before waxing. The wax just protects the paint from contamination in the future.

The zymol you use is mid range.......

Jesus its not rocket science.

Paul u are right

dodo is excellent for the money mate. zymol is more expensive mid range and swiss is like a top of the range wax just buy what you can afford. dodo supernatural is fantastic if you put 2 coats on it will last all year.

I don't believe this says that concours is mid range. ( it's actually the entry level estate glaze)

You said Zymol is mid and Swiss is top.

Tbh Ive found that some of the modern liquid waxes are better than some of the carnuba based waxes.

So basically its all down to preference and budget. Im buying a used car this week so will be detailing it to death. What process do you use for zymol preperation?

You can't beat the turtle, only downside you have to apply it like every two weeks but hey who gives a f**k!! :chair:

And OMG I can't belive we are having an argument about waxes!??!??!

So, after reading this thread i'm none the wiser!

WITHOUT BICKERING (!), will people just put one line answers of what is a good wax for RB, so I can make an informed decision, or at least a shortlist based on the info in here! Thanks!

I'll do a list based on budgets.

£25-40 Autoglym HD

£60-70 raceglaze 55 or Zymol Titanium

£100 Zymol Glasur

£170 Zymol concours

However I would suggest starting with a £5 sample of razeglaze 55. It will do the car twice which is about 6-12 months of protection

You could go for 'Light Fantastic' or 'Diamond White' As either if these should enhance the colour and give the paintwork good protection.

This!

Other option is Dodo Blue Velvet http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/dodo-juice/blue-velvet.aspx - £32.95 designed for Blue cars  Only use this if you are going to wax every month, other wise this RaceGlaze is supposed to be good and is cheaper than the Zymol range http://www.vertar.com/race-glaze/race-glaze-55wax/ - £68.00

LOL you beat me to it while I was getting links fella! TBH I think I am going with the RaceGlaze 55 next. Might trial it on Emmas new car.... :poke:

Just gone week at the knees, next you be talking about carburettors and fuel injections lol.

Phils car does look very good the zymol seems to suit a flat paint like RB very well indeed. where i fine dodo juice very good for bring out metallic paint like Inferno and Liquid Yellow but barlet last a month it its outside like mine all the time. Swiss wax Shield would also be good for flat paint as i have some and doesn't really give the results i had with dodo orange crush but lasts longer

To be honest mate I'd go for Zymol Titanium it will last longer. Also the paint cleaner you use with it is quite simply the best hand polish out there, nothing and I mean nothing is as good as Zymol HD clense for polishing/cleaning by hand.

If you really want raceglaze defo try a £5 pot first before committing!

Or you could organise a raceglaze detailing day Like you did the NE Detailing and Swisswax and we might get some free samples  lol

They are too far away.

I think raceglaze is owned by the guy who owns vertar and they are 200 miles away.

You could by the 55 or titanium for the price of the fuel to get there and back.
