Honda S2k, Evo 8 FQ340 or Audi S3

Hi guys only a few weeks ago i sold my Glacier White 197 Cup with full aero kit :-( was sad to see it go as i had only owned it 11 months and had done a few nice things to it. I however fancied a change for something different as you can probably gather from my title i am thinking about a Honda S2k (AP2), Evo 8 FQ340 or Audi S3 (06 onwards). I don’t really do that much mileage as i luckily work very close to home so mileage is not a issue at the moment. I am after a car that’s eye catching, tuneable and stands out from the crowd.

I would appreciate your advice and opinions guys

Cheers Guys

Stands out? Sorry mate neither of those you mentioned..
Audi S3 is as common as it gets ((+overpriced for what it is) honda s2000 is completely outdated and Evo??? Well it wasnt ever my cup of tea, I kind of think is too much? Too loud?? But this is only my opinion...
Clio rs is much rarer than those cars, maybe consider buying an Exige?? That's a head turner BIG TIME, extremely fast, immense handling and therefore, great fun:smile:

x 3! Lol

As far as tuneable goes, it probably doesn't get more so on that list than the Honda, but they are VERY old now...

Why that list if you don't mind me asking? It's a bit...limited.

Thanks guys keep the ideas coming however i do have a limit of 17k as im paying for the car in cash not finance. The Exige would be out of my price range lads anything under 17k guys you can think that would be worth the cash and would be a wiked drive too. I was thinking of a seat leon K1 as well.

17k is decent amount for a fun car.

For me I'd be thinking somenthing RWD

BMW Z4M Coupe
Honda NSX (not too many for sale just now)
Nissan 370Z few around that price now
Porsche Cayman (not a huge fan of the looks but supposed to be decent)
911 or Boxster

If it was my money, it would definitely be going on a TVR though
T350 or Tuscan. Although you would probably not end up tuning it as you'd spend cash fixing stuff... Definitely an interesting drive though and a real head turner.

How about an R26.R? Probably a bit of an investment too.

Out of your list i'd say the S2000 but with an hard top, could'nt be doing with all the hairdresser jokes.

From the list it has to be the Mitsi hands down but I'd go for the Exige as above

Brother in Law had the exige and it was a real go-kart m8!
Only problem was that the bodywork cannot withstand extreme cold!
Being fibreglass it needs to be kept in a warm garage!

He's now got the EVO 10 which has the hks add-ons its wipes my r26 back side proper and mine is 285 lb's torque stage 1!

Inside is abit of a let down but got some very clever traction yaw technology fitted as standard proper rally stuff!
0-60 3.5 but hold to your breast implants as suspension is a real bone shaker!

Oh yeah!!
Oh yeah x 2

Really? Define extreme cold mate. We never have extreme cold in UK. My mates have owned elises/exiges for more than 10 years and they never had any problems whatsoever. The real issue with these cars I suppose is that there are
no bumpers so if something goes wrong you'd be looking for a whole panel which is ridiculously expensive...

Clio V6 would be my shout at under £17k, but the Z4MC, Cayman, T350 ate all good shouts for a little more.

How about a Z3MC, £17k would get you in a nice S54 and it would not depreciate at all if you're doing little mileage

Alot of good suggestions there but some nice focus rs's can be picked up for under 20k, im in no way bias :innocent: p.s you definitely get noticed
