Just picked up some stuff from Sainsburys for around half the price of RainX, I'll apply it when it's not pitch black and freezing cold to see how it performs!

There's stuff called Duxback. Don't use it as its rubbish.
The best stuff you can use is called G1 by G/techniq. It really is a once a year application.
Also if your wipers are juddering try cleaning them. I don't just mean a quick wipe with a damp sponge. Get some IPA onto a cloth and keep wiping until no more dirt comes off, this will take a while be warned. This should stop and juddering issues.
