Top gear Argentina

Not very friendly those chaps. Maybe the aircraft carrier should be filled with more fighter jets just in case.

Another poor showing from the TG team IMO. These "specials" are just all the same and completely over done.

I was however, surprised at the reaction of the Argies...but it's a shame that none of the presenters went through what the production team went through. You have to feel for those guys...Hammond and co. probably just slipped out the back door, unnoticed.

I think Top Gear as a whole is predictable now. It isn't a car show but a scripted family entertainment show and as that it's very good.

I think that as car fans, we think/hope that it's a car show still, but it's really not.

I like them, even if they are predictable. They're an easy/fun watch.

I stopped thinking of it as a car show after they 'reviewed' the 200 in Monaco. They did various stupid/funny stunts as usual but back in the day there was always a point to it all with a conclusion to the review and some sensible/meaningful words.. this time there was none, just onto the next sequence of jokes. I was annoyed! Since then I have stopped expecting any sort of car reviews or advice and expect only to be entertained.

I did did enjoy the Christmas special though! Nearly choked when James fell off the horse!

Yeh well said, where they compared it to a fiat 500 abarth, lold.

As far as I'm aware they were in the discos with the rest of the crew.

indeed it is an entertainment show now!

think most of us could write a script and road trip for the show...

I stopped watching after about half an hour. A laugh and a joke is one thing but ever since I was little I loved lotus and like all porsche up to the 90's, why watch two of the cars ive dreamt of owning be ruined. Every time it's the same just with different cars. It might be entertainment but its predictable entertainment which isn't entertaining anymore. Lotus are one of the most successful grand prix teams ever. 7 time world champions.
Porsche are the most successful sportscar manufacturer ever 16 outright le mans victories. They deserve respect.

Why do people keep watching it if they don't like it?

I don't get it, I hate downtown abbey...so I don't watch it lol?!

I think there good fun.

It hasn't been a proper car show for a very long time, so I don't see why this is such a surprise to people.

I used to love Top Gear and I find Clarkson and co funny and entertaining, but I really hate the way they trash the cars on these program's. I know that I'm a girlie, but I don't find wrecking a classic Lotus, Porsche and Mustang to be entertainment to be honest.

Just my opinion.

Yes the programme has changed over the years, but haven't we all ! Still love Clarkson's bo**ocks to you attitude.

The show kept cutting to them sitting in the hotel?

Correct. They apparently had a charted flight out of the country. The only reason the crew took the disco's was because they had so much stuff to get out of the country apparently.

F'kin Argentinians! Lol that they also lay claim to some other southern islands that Chilie own but Argentina decide are theirs!
