Decent race.

Truly gutted for Bottas and Riccardo. Verstappen kind of did it again, lucky for him kimi is an experienced driver and caught it, great drive nevertheless. Glad for red bull, first ever win there if I'm not mistaken? Grosjean 4th? Pinch me, am I dreaming?

Hamilton got schooled by Vettel on track, brilliant stuff, and then off to radio to whinge, and cry and moan...again.

Speaking of which, I'm genuinely shocked of Merc's approach around the selected strategy. Shocked by Vowles' intervention to take responsibility, twice, so as to keep the diva calmed. And why would they keep talking about making a mistake? It wasn't really a mistake was it? They knew what they were doing and they gambled, it's just the fact that their gamble did not work. Like tyres on a rainy race day. You gamble without being sure how the conditions are going to be. They thought that Red bull would be leaving a car out so they left him out, plain simple.

Happy to see Vettel on top again with Ferrari not swapping cars as everyone thought. I would have like them to try what Mercedes did with Bottas and Hamilton though, swapping them around to try and chase the frontrunner car. I do think that Vettel had more pace in his Ferrari and he could have challenged VER albeit overtaking would have been massively difficult.

Bring on Silverstone now.

Congrats to England for winning!

vettle putting it in the tyres did make laugh flol

Bitching because he couldn't pass his teammate. How about overtaking him then you prick. Vettel simply cannot win without the best car and/or a lackey no.2 teammate. I've always supported Hamilton but this year more than ever I hope he wins.

also ... i'm beginning to get fed up with F1 tbh. been a fan for almost four decades now, but i get the feeling F1 just isn't for me anymore. fed up with the politics (drivers and team managers), sick of the demise of mclaren and williams, can't stand the prima donna drivers, the constant whining from drivers during and after the race is ridiculous, the interference of officials which imo kills racing is frustrating, the press which tends to make an elephant out of a fly and just look at this years silly season. the worst ever. oh, and i hate team stroll.

went to the zandvoort historic grand prix last weekend and i'm going to the historic spa six hours meeting in two weeks time. real cars, real enthusiasts, great racing most of the times. love going to those.

yeah I'm feeling the same, only Hamilton shutting up Vettel and Ferrari is keeping me interested. Hopefully the 2019 aero regs will make the racing a bit closer.

I fancy Hamilton to overtake Schumacher's race win record but it's doubtful, although possible, that he'll pass or match 7 titles. Hope so though. Mercedes need to get Ocon in the second car as soon as possible though as Bottas isn't quick enough to take decent points off the competition when Hamilton doesn't win.

I'll put this here.
Horrific crash at the Macau F3 race, driver 17yr-old Sophia Floersch is in hospital along with 2 marshalls and a photographer. All are conscious I believe. Sophia suffered a fractured spine.

Holy shit, that's horrible. That impact looks awful... I hope they all pull through.

EDIT: just seen it at full speed, it's even worse than in slo mo....

I seen this the other day, it’s an complete miracle nobody died there, I don’t know what lead up to that happening - brake failure maybe as she hit the rear of the other car at some speed?? Hopefully they’ll all pull through without any long term problems.
