But glad it’s gone to someone who has gifted it life.
Should have bought it back off the insurance tho.

This is my little beast now

Only a small update got the remainder of the brackets that aren’t used out and filled smooth,
Sanded the inside ready for a coat of paint tomorrow/Tuesday.

The car goes off to tylah motorsport on Wednesday for its new cage.

I also test fitted one of the wheels to check what they were like.

Well Iv got he car back from tylah motorsport today.

I’m super chuffed with the cage!

Iv just got to weld in the A pillar and B pillar gussets and the curved gussets sneak peak on the rear X.

If anyone wants them Iv made the tool to make them now!

At some point on the way back the rear screen decided to shatter [emoji2357]fbbad6af0889ab80325d13cadac11dc6.jpg

Well not not much to update really as with the opening of the new workshop Iv just not had time with my own car.

I have had the carbon roof and carbon roof vent back and they look amazing I think.

I have been working on getting the mk3 megane calipers on to the Clio with the biggest disks i can will see if this is a viable option or possibly some ap calipers if I can’t get these to work well.

The car is now sat on the ramp almost as a bare shell waiting to have the final bits removed before heading off to paint

Cage looks amazing, that welding is top notch.

How do you fit the roof?

The old roof skin has the spot welds drilled out and the sealer cut then the carbon roof will be bonded on with panel bond after paint

Work has been manic the past few months but decided I need to get the old roof skin off so the car can get into paint ASAP.

Iv also cut and detailed the dash. Even small little details matter to me so I spend hours on little jobs that no one will ever notice [emoji2357] f70e9f4ac10e684681b0ec3fdf93dfaa.jpgced72f5d6deb70e6976e2a5df9880f1d.jpg

Well not much has been happening with this as work has been crazy.

This last week Iv managed to spend a few hours here and there getting it all done and ready for paint.

Will be dropped off at the paint shop this week. Unfortunately due to this virus I don’t know when the rest of my parts will turn up (bonnet and boot in carbon)

Here’s a few pics just needs a decent clean before I drop it off.

Well with the lock down Iv not managed to get the car to the body shop.

I decided to cut out the fuel sender hole bigger
d767b83ad0886837d5fc5478555d2732.jpg

I wanted to block the all holes on the firewall as it not a fan of just taping over there holes so went with carbon. This gave me a solid blank so I could mount the brake line bulk head fittings to.

I really wanted to keep the abs this time so all lines are being replaced to braided lines and the rear 2 will be run through the car il have these made and test fitted this week all being well.

The engine it’s now all stripped and the block dropped at the machine shop all the parts are on order for the rebuilt. I couldn’t resist putting the rocker cover and breather on to have a sneak peek [emoji102]

Awesome thread mate lovely motor. How much are the shifters? And are the seat bases motorsport approved?

The zpo shifters? They start at £850 and go up if you want carbon or customised in anyway.

They are made from approved material but not fia tested as such

@R27WTF loving this thread. what's the intended spec of the engine, still going supercharged?

Thanks appreciate that.

The only engine will be forged rods and pistons, supertech inlet and exhaust valves And arp bolts throughout.

It’s not really needed only for piece of mind really, the long term plan is to go supercharged still

Well Iv not updated this for a while so the car is now back from paint and back in the workshop ready to build up [emoji7]

I kept with the Storm grey and went with a metallic black for the cage.

The body shop fully striped the seam sealer inside and in the engine bay to give a cleaner look.

I went with body colour raptor coat on the underside and In the arches this should last years as it’s a truck bed liner pretty much.

Well here’s a few pictures from the paint shop.

As a few know this car has had a knock in the rear 1/4 in the past and the body shop found a good awful repair that’s now been sorted and repaired properly not just filled with layers of filler!
