Engine/Gearbox Mounts

Apologies, I suspect this has been asked quite a few times, but I have been searching through some old threads and not really found a definitive answer.

I'm pretty new to 197s, so not sure on the engine/gearbox mount arrangement. My car feels like it has a bit of movement in the mounts, so I'd like to give things a freshen up. I'm seeing a few Powerflex options, but I am not sure which are the best to go for.

The car is very much a daily driver, so I don't want to go too mad. On my old 172 Cup, I ended up with Vibratechnics engine and gearbox, then Powerflex Black in the dogbone and it was quite harsh. Fine for what that car was for, but I want something a bit more sensible this time around.

I'm even struggling to work out how many mounts there are. There is one upper engine (in basically the same place as on the 172), one upper gearbox (again, much like the 172), then an upper torque mount, above the upper engine mount, but what others are there? I assume there is a lower anti-torque mount of some kind?

Which ones are the most likely to go bad with age, and which are best to upgrade?

I appreciate the help. Again, sorry if I am the 987,000th person to ask the question!

Had powerflex yellow on my car, I'd recommend the gearbox and bottom two mounts, the top mount I'd recommend keep stock to reduce vibration.

On cold starts and idle my car should vibrate a lot especially on the steering wheel.

As for the parts check the powerflex site as they have the catalog

Thanks mate, bit clearer now.

So is it similar to 1*2 land, where the lower torque mount (20) is the one most people put poly into?

Tbh people generally do them all, but it's certainly a good starting point.

I've a set of yellows in mine and you can certainly feel the vibrations. It is pretty much fully stripped.... So it becomes a bit of a microphone inside.
I'm not sure whether just the torque bush will then put more pressure on the remaining ones if that's what you decide to do.

I had 3/4 done and dailied mine and barely even noticed the vibrations. The one I left out was the main engine mount

Though I've since done the 4th and could easily daily it still. (It became the weekend car hence why I don't) but the vibrations really aren't even that bad

I have them all done but have an evol dogbone mount.

It does have a slight vibration at idle but I don't even notice it any more.

They do get better.
