Idiot's guide to lowering...

Need your advice guys, broken spring on the front. Cost of two front springs is the same a set of 4 eibach or h&r springs. So the cost is basically the same to lower the car or keep it standard. I'm leaning towards the eibachs to get 20/25mm drop as 40mm seems quite a bit. Car is FF 197. Which would you do based on experience, standard, eibach, h&r?

Also will getting it lowered effect the resale value?

The H&R's sit bang on, they don't look too much. However they don't ride very nice.

The eibach's ride a lot better, and give a subtle drop. Had I chose springs I would've gone down the route of eibach's but I bought it on H&R

If the Eibachs lower by 20/25mm, I assume that's against the standard 197 suspension rather than the Cup chassis? So on a Cup, they'd lower by 13/18mm?
