Mike's racing blue 197

Just doing a quick bolt check following a track night at Teesside Autodrome.

How the f**k do you loose the plastic square bit from under the anti-roll bar bush :tearsofjoy:

I fitted a cup anti-roll bar while doing the gearbox so luckily I've got the plastic spacers from the original roll bar but unsure if they are all the same, I'm sure the cup roll bar and U mounts were different

Croft on the 13th May so needs sorting before then!

Got the spare roll bar spacers fitted today, it would of been quicker to drop the subframe what an arse on

Still no idea how they came out in the first place!

Had some stuff lying around in the garage so p-clipped one side and metal tied the other these fuckers aren’t coming out this time haha

Some photos from Croft, the day went great and I had zero issues with the car. Managed to improve my lap times by 2s from when I last went in October last year. The LSD and tuition really helped that

I was playing with tyre pressures most of the day, I’m currently running the Accelera 651 sports and back in October I think I ran them a little low at 30psi hot because you could see the side wall starting to wear. This time I started at 34 hot all round and finally settled at rear 31 hot front 32 hot, tbh I didn’t feel much difference when changing the pressures. Probably because I’m a complete novice and this is only my 3rd track day haha

I left the day thinking if only I had a little more power.

Next on the shopping list is a bucket seat (I was getting flung around all over ) and coilovers. Might have to be 2nd hand items for now as I’ve already spent a small fortune when I did the gearbox over the winter.

If anyone has any coilovers with light use give me a DM please

The Croft effect!
It's great catching up with the faster cars through the back section with nothing more than bravery
It’s great, I felt like I was flying through the double right handler after the long back straight. Get on to the pit straight and felt like I was on a moped in comparison
