    Re-attaching rear view mirror.

I know this is for my Megane R26 but I figured you guys would be the best to help me here. The entire rear view mirror assembly fell off yesterday when I was cleaning the glass. No biggy I thought, so applied silicone sealant (aquarium grade) and reattached the whole unit - no joy. Second...

    Samsung Galaxy S4

I'm looking at getting another smartphone / contract - and initially I was torn between the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3 - i've decided i'm not a tw*t so can't pull the iPhone look off. Now my question is, as i'm going to be locked into the contract / handset for 24 months, have you guys got any...

    Plasti Dip (or equivalent) stockists?

I'm after an aerosol can of Plasti Dip in either 'gunmetal grey' or 'smoke' - however the only UK stockist has neither in stock...... Any suggestions as to where to buy it from? Or is there an equivalent product that you can spray onto the car and remove off the paint safely? (Plasti...

    Ceramic coatings

I'm tempted to try out one of the many ceramic / quartz coatings currently on the market. Do any of you use them? I was looking at Gtechniq Exo, but due to the fact it needs panels to be 20 - 30c to cure correctly, that has to be discounted. Which brand / product have you guys used, if any?

    RallyMedia

Awesome footage on his youtube channel of non-WRC rallying, with everything from 197's up to 911s racing. All properly filmed, and with some epic engine notes too : Spot the 197 @ 4:02 ;) 7nllHWp18v4 Worth a watch.

    French boost bus correction.

This will be more a progress thread on the correction, as i'm doing it a panel at a time due to time constraints. The aim is for me to achieve the maximum correction with the least aggressive combination possible. So, I started with the bonnet - rinshed, washed, rinsed, Iron X, Tardis and CYC...

    Another *What car next* thread.

After buying the 197 last August and spending a fair bit on tyres / belts service / brakes - i've decided that it just isn't 'special' enough to justify its running costs and so i'm looking at buying a car around December of this year as a way of an upgrade. I don't really have any definite...

A few photos of my old discs ....

After suffering very acute brake judder (most apparent at 70 - 80mph) on a 57 plate car with 40k and what I think were the original discs, I decided to replace the discs and pads as the first course of action. Pads look ok, still have life in them (the chips and indentations were me using the...

    Front brake pad dimensions?

I've just ordered a set of front discs and pads from GSF car parts for the 197 at a cost of £117. This seems far too cheap to me and while on their system it states thay are for Brembo front calipers for a RenaultSport Clio 197, I have my doubts. Does 124.8mm x 70.6 mm seem the correct...

    Front brake judder?

My 197 has developed a judder in the past few months, which has now been picked up when it had it's belts replaced today. When braking the judder can be felt both through the steering wheel and brake pedal, both when warm and cold. The pads have plenty of life in them, as do the front...

Anyone used the Ilkeston Renault dealer before?

I've just got a price back of £720 for the cambelt service + waterpump at the Ilkeston Co-operative Renault dealer and wondered if anyone on here had any experience with this dealership? Cheers Anthony.

No power to Radio or Temperature / Clock display?

My car was involved in a hit and run accident 6 weeks ago, after finally getting it back from the bodyshop last Thursday (with it being sat in storage for 4 weeks), the battery was disconnected, and reconnected before I took the keys back. No other warning lights are on and the car drives fine...

    Dealer compliant service scheduling.

Just a quick question guys. Bought the car @ 33500k last August, and it was serviced / stamped by Stratstone before I took ownership - and the 'service due' indicator on the dash was reset also - would they have complied with the 36k mile service due to it being so close mileage / age wise...
