Speck @ RSTuning will bang the belt job out in 3.0-3.5hrs i'd imagine Mick

Select Neutral on Push Button Start

It is either the gear position switch is knackered OR the switch hasn't been plugged back in to the loom (check). Easy to check if you get on your hands and knees and look behind the passenger front wheel.

    Resetting Long-Term Fuel Trim?

They work but only to a degree as the engine management compensates for fuel quality amongst other things

    Resetting Long-Term Fuel Trim?

I'm afraid that's unlikely Kazumz ben_r1 drop by and I'd do it for you for free

    Resetting Long-Term Fuel Trim?

Disconnecting the battery does not clear the engines adaptive parameters. You will need to reset them with diagnostic kit I'm afraid to truly level them.

Cambelt change up - recommend near Milton Keynes

Don't let them do this, it's a complete false economy... change that water pump or don't do the job!

    Cambelt replacement in York/Leeds area

That's it yes - just checking all prices at the minute though as Renault have put all prices up a smidgen.

    Cambelt replacement in York/Leeds area

They should all be 6yrs *really* as there's no difference in any parts fitted but I still recommend them at 5yrs purely because of the water pump being the weak link if it's leaking. As much as I'd love to do it for you, by the time you'd driven from Leeds and back the fuel would probably put...

    Heater Resistor 197

Pigeon - I'd seriously advise you try putting power to the motor directly first as I've had three Clio III's in this month that have had no heater blower function and they all needed water damaged motors replacing. I'm not saying it's not the rheostat but it takes 5mins to rule out the motor...

    Removing a 197 Dashboard Top?

To answer the original question no, the dash top doesn't come off like a Mk1/2 and the dash is more of a single piece now. Glove box off, center console face off then remove the drivers lower section, steering column surround and equipment off, undo a few bolts and boom... The lot comes away.

    airbag deactivation

He's not fat... but he should be (amount of ****e he eats). Covering everything in chilli sauce seems to work for him hehehe. If needs be the passenger srs unit can be permanently be decoded but I'm sure a transponder seat is available.

    Steering wheel removal

Extension bar in and unhook the bottom latch. Then pull hard towards you... just watch you don't break any cruise buttons. I hate MkIII bag units but you get used to them eventually.

    airbag deactivation

I'll give you that one fat boy ;-) I'm sure Renault have a transponder coded booster seat for this situation which deactivates the passenger bag but not a baby seat (I don't believe infants are supposed to be in the front but don't quote me on this point).

    Steering wheel removal

1/4 extension is perfect for this job.

Have you removed the panel to see if the little brown connector is there? I have to ask, why do you want this feature?

TT has been terrible since they forced v4 on everyone. I find it constantly hangs, shows "No Topics" or juat crashes. Mick

Anyone had a dephaser replaced on the 197

Any dealer should be able to check this for you but you tend to find they're only interested in the faults tab. Tell them to check the turbo/inlet air tab and the normal response is "it doesn't have a turbo" #face+palm

Anyone had a dephaser replaced on the 197

@Keljon - I've no experience with the RSTuner as a product i'm afraid so cannot comment but I believe it has excellent data logging capabilities. The stream is there to be read so I'm Henk can get there with it. @Markhardy - Effects are (generally) increased fuel consumption and a lack of...
