I see the Akrapovic exhaust systems are advertised for the 200 only, do they fit on the 197 too?? Also, is the evolution system road legal? Ie will it pass an MOT?

Had a non cup 197 for a while now, and I'm finding the suspension slightly on the hard side for long trips on lumpy B roads, I've read that the non cup 200 is 15% softer than the 197, so might be better for me. Short of buying a 200, what are the differences between a non cup 197 & 200...

Right its NOT the door handles, as they are both now working again as they should. Anyone have any other thoughts? Is there a seperate switch in the door thats used by the locking system? Anyone got a wiring diagram for the door lock circuit?

I cant get the car look at for a few weeks, so if you end up taking yours into a garage, could you let us know what they find? Ofcourse I'll do the same if I get there first.

Banger, did you sort this problem out?? Mine have just stopped working, on both doors, so it cant be the buttons being "broken", changed the batteries in the remote, but no difference. Anyone got any other suggestions?

Please would someone fix it for me, cause I've been searching around and into 2 different Renault dealers and I'm still not 100% sure on what the proper service schedule for a 197 is! I have an early 197, and the service schedule book in the car is for a Clio 172/182, and was out of date in...

So I gather! Wont be the first car I've had gearbox trouble with if it does throw a wobbly!
