    Track Day Fuel Storage

I bought (from Amazon) what were described as “25L JERRY CAN - UN Approved Stackable Bottle Container”. They are kind of rectangular and stackable. Also easy to attach with bungee and lashing straps in a trailer. BTW - I was told by 1 petrol station that the most I could fill it with was 10...

Brakes - Fast road and track set ups...IN HERE.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’ll check the discs and see what I can do to clean them up. It probably makes a lot of sense to replace the pads. As I’ve no idea on how they were bedded in, if at all, before I bought the car. btw - that is a great article on bedding in pads.

Thanks for the heads-up. Here is what on the car. (They were fitted to the car by Ktec before I purchased back in 2017. Cars has done little mileage since). Front = Brembo HC front discs + Ferodo ds1.11 pads Rear = Ktec black rear discs + Ferodo DS2500 pads

Brakes - Fast road and track set ups...IN HERE.

Great advice. Thank-you. I am just pricing up the Godspeed kit plus braided lines. Also the feedback on cooling. As after I did a the cool-down lap and went in. The front discs were still really warm - well actually hot! I'll see if I can get all this done this month as keen to do more track days.

Sorry for this numpty question - Lots of good feedback above on discs, pads and braided lines etc which is great but... Q. For the standard Clio 3 RS200 with Cup pack with Cup wheels. Has cage plus Gripper etc. But brakes are pretty much stock. - can I order and fit; larger discs such as...

N/a track car Vs 225 conversion

I would get the LSD for sure... I am a newbie to track days but the difference with the diff (plus the coil-overs) was incredible. I did talk to Sean at Jade Developments. He is v. knowledgeable on the options so maybe worth a call? -> https://en-gb.facebook.com/JadeDevelopments/

    Day insurance

I managed to get my policy, via A-Plan, to include Track Day. It was with MarkerStudy Insurance. They agreed to insurance with all the mods on the car. Even insured 2 friends (for a bit extra £s)

Michelin Cup tyre pressures - what are you running?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have a good quality gauge so will check regularly - when cold/ hot and pre/post each "run" at Combe.

Michelin Cup tyre pressures - what are you running?

Thanks Gents, I took the wheels off today. The edges looked decent but loads of pickup. Tried to scrub them but the marbles are like goo on the tyres... At Combe in a couple of weeks so will experiment. Keep you posted [emoji106] BTW - you seen the Michelin Track Connect app? €400 approx for...

Michelin Cup tyre pressures - what are you running?

Hi Folks, I have the following tyres, used only for Track Days, on Cup alloys: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 215/45 R17 Y (91) Quick question: (assume you have the same tyres) What tyre pressures are you running? I’m just taking the tyres off. Loads of pick up from the last track day (...) and...

    F1: Ricciardo

You’ve got to hand it to him. They are not doing the best but he is so positive. Upbeat and going to give it a crack this weekend at Silverstone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

Thanks[emoji106] I had the tyre pressures a bit high initially. After getting them up to temp removed some air. But took out too much. Car was a bit “hoppy” on the faster curves. Added some air back and improved- a lot. Problems? Lots of marbles from the faster machinery was picked up on the...

Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

TBH - They had too many cars on the day. Over 90 and lots of pseudo testing going on. A bit nuts as you got passed by GT cars and a McLaren Senna that was plane ballistic. I reckon about 70-80 mph differences in places and Ginetta’s who were treating it as a test day. All in all a bit dangerous...

Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

Hey Kev, I’m booked for 21st June at Combe but I’m stuffed as have another commitment. I’m already booked for their October track day. I’ll see if I can rebook it the 9th August, [emoji1696] Btw - Car is so good with the Gripper diff and Bilsteins etc - it would be good for you to compare...

Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

It’s a nice motor alright. Wheels look special too. Reading ///M’s write up made up my mind to go for Jade Development’s Bilstein setup on the car. Together with the Gripper diff the car is transformed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Clio RS 200 Cup - déjà vu

I know it has been a while but the car is ready. Yeah! Here it is with its older brother. The blue car had Jade Developments first Bilstein kit. I’ve heard folks say “it’s good as new” when they collect their cars after work etc. But this is better than new. Way better! Gearbox is mega...

    Track day tuition

Yep. ST is very neutral and easy to drive. Overall a decent drive and a great car to learn with. But looking forward to taking the Cup on track later this year.
