    Another Spacers Thread...

I bought those Mtec ones. They’re decent. Drives great and I can’t notice the difference. I got 15mm and 20mm, but on reflection I think 10mm and 20mm would be my ideal preference to keep it looking as though it was always meant to look that way.

How do I pop my 'gear linkage cables' back in..?

Well chuffed it helped you out mate!

    Alignment settings and preferences

Personally, I'm not too worried about the non-adjustables. The differences are fairly minor and come from the sitting position, bush wear etc. Even with new bits (standard top mounts, bushes and ball joints etc) these are tolerable values that you probably wouldn't notice very easily when...

    Alignment settings and preferences

Yep, mine was all stock. Cup shocks and early 200 top mounts. Everything suspension wise totally new. Since then I changed the front arm front bush to a black powerflex type and I'd say the results are pretty much the same. Would go for extreme if I did a shorter commute, but it's still...

Nicely done. I didn’t fit the rear bush thinking it would transfer too much noise, but the front feels just right. Play in the steering could be the inner bush I suppose? Otherwise I’m not sure what else is left for you to fix unless it’s a track rod / end. Pleased to see you’re getting it...

    Front bumper 'RS Badge' fitment

I don't know whats happening to me, but adding one of these badges is starting to appeal to me. Whats the conclusion, if you have the old style 'flat and smooth' type can you retrofit and what do you use for fixing it? Gonna go see how much they are on ebay now!

Interesting. The bolts didn’t move on mine at all, although this thread got me checking. The bush did move, and now with black poly bushes it doesn’t and the handling is massively improved so I’m confident you’re in for a treat.

That said, the genuine Renault bushes I used for the engine mounts gearbox etc are all pretty soft and terrible. Would love to replace them with harder rubber parts.

Could be, they were pattern parts in both our cases.

Just to let you know dude, I switched out the front bush on the arm with a powerflex black type and it doesn’t move at all anymore. No harshness in ride or noise either, just works like it’s supposed to. The slotted hole is a red herring so ignore that, the bolt didn’t move it’s just a crappy...

    275 Cup-S to 200 Cup

I wish my Clio had an LSD... also I kinda wish it was RWD and had a turbo - it has roughly the same fuel economy! It's good fun tho. I never thought I'd like FWD in any shape until I discovered Clios and it was a total accident.

    275 Cup-S to 200 Cup

I do about 75 miles a day with a 200 cup and even with no cruise control, I really don’t mind it at all. I have stuck a load of sound proofing and a decent stereo in the thing tho. I’ve tried so many different cars with this commute and I always get tired of the comfy ones, as long as there’s...

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Here’s how the tweeters look. Pretty fortunate they take up the exact same space.

Got a few audio questions (200 Cup 2009)

Added some Audison voce 1.1 tweeters which sound great, you can cross them over really low (they go down to 2khz) taking the burden off the mid bass drivers and they fit perfectly flush and are completely reversible. Raises the image and do wonders for vocals. I found mine for a hundred quid...

    Aftermarket Head Unit Fitting

Yeah it’s a total pain in the butt. Depending on how much room you want you can pull the vents above the head-unit out too fairly easily to get another hand in there and pull the wires about.

    Another wiper question!

Will never forget the time my 182 decided to change its mind about how the rear wipers worked, in that one day they started operating in the 'off' position and do nothing in the 'on' position - after a few days they decided to go back to normal. You gotta admire how that is even possible.

215/45/17 for me so no rubbing. I don’t know what proxes are like but some tyre makes are bigger than others even with the same numbers - lots of people run 225’s. I also have some movement in the same bush and the bolts stay still. It is a bit weird so I’m tempted to go poly but can’t be...
