And I have been building my pals 172 and its going to be epic... I had to put the engine and gearbox together then the inlet manifold on and the aircon and pas delete kit then get it in .. the bolts where everywhere and there are bits missing here and there however it's almost done.. I'll just put pics up for you all

I am back tonight and hopefully will get some more done but the car will be epic

I'm not 100% on the spec but I'll list it below.

so from the top of my head the engine has got 197 cams and has been rebuilt with new internals the inlet manifold and throttle body has been ported, we have removed the Power steering and air conditioning and looped the pas rack. The box has been re build with new internals and a Mtec diff and new clutch. and its got a PMS exhaust with 182 manifold.

the shell has been stripped and a cage fully welded in with extra bar and harness bar and the loom has been cut. and dash removed he has got Sparco grid q seats I think with a NRG steering wheel. complete heating system removed and a electric heated windscreen plastic windows front and rear with plastic doors boot and bonnet.

ast coil overs with roll centre correction kit camber shims on rear with a PMS anti roll bar and desmond regemaster wheels.

I have probably missed lodes of kit this car has but it will be epic once done and I cannot wait to get it started however its taking it toll on me

8pm-2am on wed last week 6 hrs
5pm-12pm saturday 7 hrs
7pm-??? tonight.

Bedford is amazing I love it and I cannot say the car was faultless... firstly down the back straight 100mph shift into 5th and it's not there try again and same went another lap to check and I could only get 1st-4th so went back in and

found my shifter cable had come un clipped so few cable ties later and all back together..

Few laps later it was lovely and hot track was good car was good so decided to try the slicks @Pav style

20190513_112410(0).jpg

That lasted about 8 laps before and car felt funny and wouldn't go round the corner..

I know you run flats at low psi but zero took the piss I had them at 30 hot which was nice and 20190513_123951.jpg

Sadly i think the slick was to slick so back onto the AD08Rs and had a blast for the rest of the day.. after the problems I had the car was brilliant and took some lads out who had a mx5 showed them how to use all the track.. videos will be up tomorrow hopefully and pics will be about when javelin get them online..

Too much heat in the slicks or they just too far worn? 8 laps quite a long stint round Bedford

It was over 2 sessions and I think they where just to far gone the other side is ok but close.. I think a few more laps and the other side might have gone also..

well im glad you managed to sort your niggles out to be able to carry on..shame about the slicks though..they were part worn, werent they?
think interesting day overall...thanks for sharing
