06 nimbus 197 daily track toy

However today some not so good news... I've been worried about my brakes for a while as there was little cracks around where the bell bolts to the rotor they have slowly been getting worse so thought I'd have a look.. much to my surprise its was only in the surface and nothing to worry about however what was to worry about was the hole that's appeared in there..

Small crack nothing to worry about.. checked both sides.. 20190606_112842.jpg 20190606_112853.jpg

However this is..

Good thing you decided to check the inside face of the disc. Could have ended badly that. Definitely time for some new ones there.

Do you have a pic from the vent channels? It seems like there was some material missing from the casting process, right?

Well I was not expecting that.. they have said there must have been an issue with the manufacturing process and they are sending me a disk out and are giving me the other side at cost with free bolts so bit of a saving there and got some new pads on order aswell..

Right did some checking today as I'm off tomorrow and wanted to get started.. got the car jacked up and started on the back disks pads all bolts all good however took the splitter off as the exhaust was making a noise so off it came and a clip was loose..20190703_204029.jpg 20190703_204041.jpg 20190703_203947.jpg 20190703_203952.jpg

How ever I have found the rear line over the axle has been rubbing on the brake line and has got rusty which has been eating into the line..

I have sanded the rust of and painted it for now however I have bought the proline rear axle braided line kit which would be here next week.. I'll get some pics tomorrow..

Here is the line as I said I've painted it to protect it for now.. but you can see it looks bent that's the corrosion made it thinner..95c215d97d91a57d228eff356a096d61.jpg
