Box issues not selecting gears..

I blead a friend's a clutch yesterday and today he is having some good issues..

Right it feels loose when going into gears when into 1st we can move the stick right into 6th and it's all over the place. He has stripped battery and the airbox out the way.. so he can move the selector by hand and it goes into gear but will still roll like being in neutral.. or the clutch being pressed.

I could be completely wrong but sounds like the cable end clip is open that's used for adjustment or the cable is not held securely I circled the places to look at.

We have checked that.. you can put it into gear at the selector on the gearbox end and the car just rolls free not in a gear..

i went to actually take a look at this the other day and its mad not forward gears at all but back one works fine. new gearbox here we come..
