Clio 200 or Standard

Hi,

I am looking at buying a Clio 197 or 200 very soon. Swaying towards the Clio 200 as I can pick one up for around £4500 - £6000.

When coming to look for clio 197 and 200's on auto trader and other trading sites I am finding an issue where it might not state that it is a 197 or 200, but it looks the same to me.

This one is named as
Renault Clio 2.0 VVT Renaultsport 3dr - but is this a clio 200???
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201806227739643

But it does not state anywhere if it is a clio 200?

How can i tell when I come to looking for one to buy? I am filtering to a minimum of 2.0L engine, but some people might not know they have a clio 197/200 so need a way to tell what I am looking at.

Any ideas?

Clio 200 has a more rounded front as opposed to the 197 with 'triangular' shaped nose grills at the front, this is the most noticeable difference. As is the rear diffuser, the 200 has a diffuser with chrome rings to look like exhaust tips where as the 197 just has a plain diffuser.

The 200 was introduced in late 2009 aswell i think, there are still 197's made in 2009 too though.

the link you attached is for a 200
