DIS display going dim

Hi All,

Strange one - my screen in the centre of the dash has started going dim all of a sudden.

It is still lit up along with the lights but the brighter lettering for things like "Oil Level Correct" etc all fade so i can't see anything.

A light tap on the clocks either right or left seems to sort it back out for a bit.

Any suggestions as to why this may be happening - my thinking is if it was a connection at the rear then all of the lighting on the clocks would also dim?

It will be an internal soldered joint that’s gone dry most likely or the bulb for the display has nearly blown and it’s on its last legs, although I’d suggest it’s more likely an led so it’s more likely the former...
