Engine and bay cleaning

Looking for advice on the best way to clean my engine and engine bay. Does anyone have any tips for me?
Thanks in advance

I use an old microfiber which I wet so it's damp and wipe the surfaces so their fairly clean. I then, when dry (doesn't take long) treat them with what ever I have handy that appropriate for the material. Metals get a bit if metal polish usually.

No need for jet wash/power wash.

This was just done with damp cloth & little amount of autoglym bumper care for plastic/rubber parts. No jetwash or water..

mild engine degreaser for the non plastic parts then wash the plastics with a damp cloth etc. Finally use aeorspace 303 to finish the plastics - gives an awesome finish. Got mine from ebay

A good citrus degreasing product will shift most of the dirt. A good interiir dressing for the plastics afterwards will having it looking like new again.

There are methods of doing it with a hose pipe (not a pressure washer) if key components have been covered up. But I'd leave that method to the pro's!
