I joined the Akrapovic club with the new bike last week. Bike is a Yamaha MT-09 with the Akrapovic carbon system. Sounds amazing.

By all account the MT09 is a cracking bike.

Not mine personally, my bike is in pieces as I always strip the bike down over winter. I will post pics come spring time. The 2009 onwards R1s have what they call the 'big bang' crossplane engine which fires unevenly so gives it a unique noise. The engine has more low end torque which I love and great engine braking. 180bhp to around 190kg = fun. A lot of the R1 purist hate the (14B) model as its a bit of a beast to tame, but stick with it and it's very rewarding.
