What causes Torque Arm knock?

I replaced the torque arm a little over a year ago but since the weathers gotten colder it’s started knocking again. When removing the bush on the original arm there weren't any splits and given it only happens cold I’m guessing the rubber shrinks, either allowing the casing to knock against the timing cover or allowing the end connected to the chassis to move.

When I try to wiggle the torque arm there’s very little play but the main engine mount does have noticeable play, it’s almost 10 years old so will replace it soon along with the dogbone mount.

I recall a few people saying they took theirs in to Renault who fixed it by installing a zinc plate, any ideas on how to carry out this fix DIY?

Thanks for any pointers
